JOURNEY 3: CENTRAL HIGHLANDS DISCOVERY

DAY 1: HUE / DA NANG / HOI AN – KON TUM

– Pick-up at your hotel at around 8:00 a.m.

– Travel to Kon Tum (approximately 380–460 km) through scenic Central Vietnam and the Highlands.

– Stop along the way to visit local villages and ethnic minority communities.

– Lunch en route at around 1:00 p.m. with local dishes.

– Arrive in Kon Tum at around 4:00–5:00 p.m.

– Check in at your hotel located near the Dak Bla River.

– Free time to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the Central Highlands.

– Overnight in Kon Tum.

DAY 2: KON TUM – ETHNIC VILLAGES & HIGHLANDS CULTURE

– Pick-up at 8:30 a.m.

– Visit Kon Klor Village of the Bahnar ethnic group.

– Visit Plei Weh Village of the Jarai ethnic group.

– Observe daily life, traditional customs, and learn about the culture of some of the oldest ethnic communities in the Central Highlands.

– Return to Kon Tum city for lunch at around 1:00 p.m.

– In the afternoon:

– Visit the Rong House, the impressive communal house and cultural symbol of the Bahnar people.

– Walk across the Kon Klor Suspension Bridge over the Dak Bla River.

– Visit Kon Chori and Kon H’ngok Tu villages.

– Meet friendly villagers and interact with them through your guide.

– Return to the hotel at around 5:00 p.m.

– Enjoy the cool and quiet highland atmosphere.

– Overnight in Kon Tum.

DAY 3: KON TUM – BUON MA THUOT

– After breakfast, check out and depart at 8:30 a.m. for Buon Ma Thuot.

– On the way, stop to visit:

– Tea plantations.

– Two rows of pine trees planted during the French colonial period.

– T’Nung Lake, an ancient volcanic crater lake, known locally as “the Sea on the Mountain.”

– Lunch at around 1:00 p.m. with local dishes.

– Arrive in Buon Ma Thuot at around 5:00 p.m.

– Check in at a centrally located hotel.

– Free time to explore the city at night.

– Overnight in Buon Ma Thuot.

DAY 4: YOK DON NATIONAL PARK – DRAY NUR WATERFALL

– Pick-up at 7:00 a.m.

– Visit Yok Don National Park.

– Transfer by electric car into the forest, followed by a guided walk of approximately 2 km.

– Observe semi-wild elephants living freely in their natural habitat.

– Elephant riding is no longer offered, as elephant welfare is now a priority.

– This ethical experience allows you to observe their natural behavior in the wild.

– Your guide will explain the forest ecosystem and point out other wildlife.

– (Elephants are usually available on weekdays.)

– Continue to visit Yang Lanh Village, where several ethnic groups live together in harmony.

– Lunch at around 1:00 p.m.

– In the afternoon:

– Visit Dray Nur Waterfall, one of the largest waterfalls in the Central Highlands.

– Walk along the river, take photos, and enjoy the natural scenery.

– Return to the hotel at around 5:00 p.m.

– Overnight in Buon Ma Thuot.

DAY 5: BUON MA THUOT – LAK LAKE – DA LAT

– Check out at 7:00 a.m. and depart for Da Lat.

– On the way, visit coffee, rubber, and pepper plantations.

– Stop at Lak Lake, surrounded by villages of the M’nong ethnic group.

– Walk around the villages to experience local life and simple living conditions.

– Lunch en route at around 1:00 p.m.

– Visit Cuong Hoan Silkworm Factory to learn about traditional silk production.

– Continue to Da Lat, arriving at around 5:00 p.m.

– Overnight in Da Lat.

DAY 6: DA LAT SIGHTSEEING – DEPARTURE

– Pick-up at 8:00 a.m. for Da Lat city sightseeing:

– Da Lat Central Market.

– Crazy House.

– Bao Dai’s Summer Palace.

– Truc Lam Meditation Pagoda.

– Da Lat Old Railway Station.

– Transfer to Lien Khuong Airport for your onward flight.

– Arrival at the airport at least 90 minutes before departure.

– End of services.
